Ark Adventure & Travel is owned and operated by Kathie Samulak. She began planning vacations when she was in college. Not only did she plan these trips for herself, but also for her friends and family. Kathie has numerous experiences in planning backpacking trips (groups from 2 to 5 people), plus multi-day canoeing trips. Kathie has planned the daily mileage for these backcountry trips, campsites, and even what the group would be eating for dinner at night. She enjoys going on an "adventure trip" and then staying in a nice cabin to round out the vacation.

She has also organized successful train trips cross country with intermediate stops along the way, in addition to city trips. These types of trips offer a wide variety of options which can suit anyone's particular taste. Researching these types of trips is the most fun because of all the possibilities in one small area.

Kathie loves to research vacation trips, even if it isn't her own. She can spend hours researching one city or trail, just to find the perfect hotel, most unique activity, or the best campsites.
